PUBLIC SPEAKING and other Fears

PUBLIC SPEAKING and other Fears

Microphone 114Research shows the most common fear that people in America have is the fear of speaking in
public. Its also known as Performance Anxiety. Why? Perhaps because were afraid of being
embarrassed.

Making simple presentations can leave ordinarily confident people with butterflies in their
stomach and their legs feeling weak and unstable. The mind can become confused, the
hands shake, the voice quivers, and sometimes we break out in a sweat.

As a consequence of this misery, were usually not doing very well on the stage or at the podium, and we often end up
afterwards feeling embarrassed or ashamed of ourselves.

This is an issue I help clients with on a regular basis. I probably see more professionals about eliminating
the fear and anxiety associated with public speaking than other hypnotists in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
(In fact, I specialize in the issue of performance anxiety, and enjoy it immensely
).

Perhaps, its the experience and insights I gained from many years of experience performing daily
to a live audience as a major market radio disc jockey in Phoenix, Oklahoma City, Las Vegas, and Dallas.

Ive helped many executives prepare and enjoy making their presentations, helping them to shift the perception of
their self from feeling vulnerable and afraid of embarrassment, to enjoying being that person at the front of the room that everyone is listening to.

Others Fears or Phobias I work with consistently include:

Fear of Sexual Performance embarrassment
Fear of Blood or Hemophobia

Fear of Flying in an airplane

Fear of Heights

Fear of taking an upcoming test

Fear of driving on a freeway or an overpass

Fear of swallowing a pill

Fear of urination in a public restroom

Fear of the Darkness

Fear of Ghosts, monsters, or unseen beings

The purpose of hypnosis as a therapeutic technique is to help you
understand and gain more control
over your behavior, emotions, or physical well-being.
